2. Identify the proposed peer program topic, and the needs and issues to be addressed.3. Identify the proposed date and location of the program.Applications must be submitted three to four months prior to the desired event date to allow sufficient time for travel processing and administration.4. Describe briefly the importance of the planning issue with respect to regional or statewide goals.5. Describe how your agency will use the information disseminated from the peer program.6. Describe how the requested technical assistance will be beneficial to the region or state.7. Will you need a non-Federal facilitator?

If yes to either of the above, state how the non-Federal facilitator will benefit the peer program. Identify the qualifications needed of the non-Federal facilitator. 8. The technical assistance requested (check one):
The Peer Program event will be held in conjunction with a workshop, national conference or symposium.
9. Describe how the results of the program will be used and evaluated.10. Peer Participants List & Estimated Budget:Identify the individual(s) who are being invited to participate. Include their organization, contact information, and their demonstrated expertise relative to this peer exchange.Estimate the costs for each invited participant needing travel reimbursement. These participants must confirm their attendance before they will be contacted for travel authorization and reimbursement. Allow 6 weeks for travel authorization processing prior to the event. If assistance is needed in finding an appropriate peer, please let us know. Private sector consultants will not be accepted as peer participants unless accompanied by a transportation agency that has contracted them to do a project related to the peer topic. Consultant fees and compensation are the responsibility of the transportation agency.
11. Official ApplicantApplications may originate from an MPO, RPO, SDOT, transit agency, or tribal government as well as FHWA Divisions or FTA Regions.
Notes: + Documented support from both the appropriate FHWA Division and FTA Regional Offices is required when an MPO, RPO, SDOT, transit agency, or tribal government is the applicant. 12. This application has been reviewed by and received support from (check all applicable):
SELECTION CRITERIAInterested public agencies are encouraged to apply for the program by submitting this application to the FHWA Division or FTA Regional Office in their State or Region. Preference will be given to applicants who:
