Apr 28 - 30, 2014  TRB  10th National Conference on Transportation Asset Management  - TRB is sponsoring the 10th National Conference on Transportation Asset Management on April 28-30, 2014, in Miami, Florida. The conference is expected to cover a broad range of topics on surface transportation modes of interest to agencies in the early stages of implementation of asset management as well as agencies that are in later stages of the implementation process. Individuals or groups wishing to present at the meeting must submit an abstract of no more than 400 words by July 31, 2013. The abstract must clearly convey the material that will be presented and must be submitted electronically. Presentations will be selected and authors informed of decisions by early November 2013. Early bird registration rates expire January 31, 2014, and advance registration rates expire March 31, 2014.  Event   
May 11 - 14, 2014    2014 North American Conference on Elderly Mobility  - The conference will feature best practices in older adult mobility and highlight new developments since the conference was first held in 2004.   Event  Detroit 
Oct 26 - 29, 2014  TRB  21st National Conference on Rural Public and Intercity Bus Transportation: Setting Our Course for the Future  - TRB is cosponsoring the 21st National Conference on Rural Public and Intercity Bus Transportation: Setting Our Course for the Future on October 26-29, 2014, in Monterey, California. The conference is designed to explore best practice and current research in rural public and intercity bus transportation.  Event   
Jul 9 - 11, 2014  TRB  5th International Conference on Surface Transportation Financing: Innovation, Experimentation, and Exploration  - TRB is sponsoring the 5th International Conference on Surface Transportation Financing: Innovation, Experimentation, and Exploration on July 9-11, 2014, in Irvine, California. The conference will focus on the latest research and practice in transportation finance, with an emphasis on innovative ideas from around the world. The goal is to share new ideas and practices to facilitate improved financing of transportation projects in anticipation of the extension of Moving Ahead for Progress in the 21st Century Act or new federal surface transportation legislation. Abstracts are due December 1, 2013.

Jun 22 - 24, 2015  TRB  5th International Symposium on Highway Geometric Design  - TRB is cosponsoring the 5th International Symposium on Highway Geometric Design on June 22-24, 2015, in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. The objective of this symposium is to stimulate continued world-wide improvements to highway geometric design. The symposium will focus on the latest research, policies, and innovative practices related to highway geometric design and their safety and operational effects.  Event   
May 6 - 8, 2014  AASHTO/TRB  AASHTO GIS for Transportation Symposium  - TRB is cosponsoring the American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials Geographic Information Systems May 6 to 8, 2014, in Burlington, Vermont. The symposium is designed to allow for exchange of ideas between government and private industry on the use of Geographic Information Systems (GIS) for transportation purposes. In addition, participants will be able to share experiences, view state-of-art software, and learn more about the GIS transportation-related field.   Event  Burlington

Apr 29, 2014  TRB  Worker Fatigue Risk Management (R03)  - As part of the SHRP2 Tuesdays Webinar Series, TRB will conduct a webinar on April 29, 2014, from 2:00pm to 3:30pm ET that will summarize SHRP 2 Renewal Project R03: Identifying and Reducing Worker, Inspector, and Manager Fatigue in Rapid Renewal Environments. There is no fee to attend this webinar or other webinars in the SHRP 2 Series; however, participants must register in advance. A certificate for 1.5 Professional Development Hours (PDH) will be provided to attendees who register and attend the webinar as an individual.  Webinar
