Dec 3 - 5, 2014  NADO  National Rural Transportation Conference  - This annual event provides peer-to-peer learning for regional transportation planners, State DOT representatives, and their partners. The conference will provide training and networking opportunities on a variety of rural and small metropolitan transportation topics. With hands-on workshops, best practice panels, and facilitated networking sessions that feature peer trainers and expert speakers, the conference will offer training for organizations and individuals just beginning to work in transportation, as well as those with more experience.

Oct 2, 2014  TRB  Maintenance and Operations Resilience: Improving System Management and Performance During Adverse and Extreme Weather Events  - TRB will conduct a webinar on October 2, 2014, from 12:00pm to 2:00pm ET that will examine transportation agencies’ performance metrics, data, and sources, as well as the systems and tools for performance evaluation in maintenance and operations for resilience in adverse weather events. Webinar presenters will discuss rationales for selecting options, such as cost, anticipated reduction in damage, and other negative impacts.  Webinar   
Oct 23, 2014    Applying Scenario Methods to Transportation Planning and Policy  - TRB will conduct a webinar on October 23, 2014, from 2:00pm to 3:30pm ET that will present three scenario methodologies and discuss how each can be utilized for transportation planning and policy. Jun 22 - 24, 2015  TRB  5th International Symposium on Highway Geometric Design  - TRB is cosponsoring the 5th International Symposium on Highway Geometric Design on June 22-24, 2015, in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. The objective of this symposium is to stimulate continued world-wide improvements to highway geometric design. The symposium will focus on the latest research, policies, and innovative practices related to highway geometric design and their safety and operational effects.  Event   
Oct 26 - 29, 2014  TRB  21st National Conference on Rural Public and Intercity Bus Transportation: Setting Our Course for the Future  - TRB is cosponsoring the 21st National Conference on Rural Public and Intercity Bus Transportation: Setting Our Course for the Future on October 26-29, 2014, in Monterey, California. The conference is designed to explore best practice and current research in rural public and intercity bus transportation.  Event   
Jan 29 - 31, 2015    14th Annual New Partners for Smart Growth Conference  - The schedule for this event includes a dynamic mix of plenaries, breakouts, implementation workshops, focused training sessions, peer-to-peer learning opportunities, and coordinated networking activities. It will also feature exciting tours of local model projects in and around the greater Baltimore region. There will be something for everybody, from veteran experts to smart-growth novices, with close to 80 sessions and workshops to choose from. Learn from hundreds of speakers who cross disciplines to share insights, valuable tools and strategies for making smart growth a success in your community. Oct 9, 2014  TRB  Long-Term Performance and Life-Cycle Costs of Stormwater Best Management Practices (BMP)  - TRB will conduct a webinar on October 9, 2014, from 2:00pm to 3:30pm ET that will provide information and demonstrate tools for the selection and maintenance of highway-related stormwater best management practices (BMP) based on long-term performance and life-cycle costs. Webinar presenters will identify tool applications that address various BMP types and provide capital, operation, and maintenance and life-cycle costs, as well as pollutant concentration and load reduction by BMP.  Webinar
