Dec 15, 2014    Data Business Planning – Applying AASHTO's Data Principles  - TRB will conduct a webinar on December 15, 2014, from 2:00pm to 3:30pm ET that will introduce the American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials’ (AASHTO) data principles and how they can be applied through data business planning within various agencies. Participants must register in advance of the webinar, and there is a fee for non-TRB Sponsor or non-TRB Sustaining Affiliate employees. A certificate for 1.5 Professional Development Hours (PDHs) will be provided to attendees who register and attend the webinar as an individual. This webinar has been approved by the American Institute of Certified Planners for 1.5 Certification Maintenance Credits.  Webinar   
Dec 9, 2014    Facility Planning Tools to Create Alternative Growth and Development Scenarios  - TRB will conduct a webinar on December 9, 2014, from 2:00pm to 3:30pm ET that will present tools that facilitate decision-making processes for airport planning and operations. These tools provide guidance on creating alternative growth and development scenarios for airports by analyzing the effects of potential change in aircraft, passenger, demographic, environmental, and other relevant factors. Jun 22 - 24, 2015  TRB  5th International Symposium on Highway Geometric Design  - TRB is cosponsoring the 5th International Symposium on Highway Geometric Design on June 22-24, 2015, in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. The objective of this symposium is to stimulate continued world-wide improvements to highway geometric design. The symposium will focus on the latest research, policies, and innovative practices related to highway geometric design and their safety and operational effects.  Event   
Jan 29 - 31, 2015    14th Annual New Partners for Smart Growth Conference  - The schedule for this event includes a dynamic mix of plenaries, breakouts, implementation workshops, focused training sessions, peer-to-peer learning opportunities, and coordinated networking activities. It will also feature exciting tours of local model projects in and around the greater Baltimore region. There will be something for everybody, from veteran experts to smart-growth novices, with close to 80 sessions and workshops to choose from. Learn from hundreds of speakers who cross disciplines to share insights, valuable tools and strategies for making smart growth a success in your community. The program will be infused with sessions and case studies focusing on important social equity and environmental justice issue  Event   
Dec 3 - 5, 2014  NADO  National Rural Transportation Conference  - This annual event provides peer-to-peer learning for regional transportation planners, State DOT representatives, and their partners. The conference will provide training and networking opportunities on a variety of rural and small metropolitan transportation topics. With hands-on workshops, best practice panels, and facilitated networking sessions that feature peer trainers and expert speakers, the conference will offer training for organizations and individuals just beginning to work in transportation, as well as those with more experience.
