Oct 22, 2018  TMIP  TMIP Webinar: Spotlight on State, Regional and Local Agencies – ARC Session 1  - This session is called "Next-generation Data, Tools and Methods." It will cover the types of data, tools, and methods that the Atlanta Regional Council (ARC) employs for various regional planning efforts as well for TIP project evaluation. ARC staff will provide examples of how different data tools and methods can make agencies more effective.

Oct 23, 2018  NTI  TCRP Synthesis 130: Battery Electric Buses - State of the Practice  - Many transit agencies are interested in understanding the potential benefits and challenges associated with the introduction and operation of battery electric buses (BEBs).Others are facing mandates to convert to clean fuel operations and deploy BEBs. This National Transit Institute (NTI) webinar will feature results from the Transit Cooperative Research Program (TCRP)'s "Synthesis 130: Battery Electric Buses: State of the Practice." The webinar will present the findings and highlights from the synthesis by the author and panel representatives, including Center for Transportation and the Environment, Federal Transit Administration, American Public Transportation Association, and Foothill Transit. The webinar is expected to be valuable to transit agencies, bus manufacturers, component manufacturers, industry stakeholders, and others interested in battery electric bus deployments. There will be an opportunity to ask questions of the presenters.

Oct 23, 2018  FHWA  Building Resilience into your Federal Highway Emergency Relief Projects  - This Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) webinar will provide information and best practices on incorporating resilience into emergency relief projects under the FHWA emergency relief program. The webinar will cover FHWA regulations and guidance on the topic, frequently asked questions, FHWA resilience research and technical assistance, and examples from Texas and Colorado. There will also be time for questions and discussion. Staff of federal, state and local transportation agencies involved with FHWA-funded emergency relief projects are invited to attend.  Webinar   
Oct 31, 2018  FHWA  FHWA Webinar on Accelerating Multimodal Project Delivery  - During this webinar, FHWA and project team members will provide a detailed look at its forthcoming workbook, which aims to help agencies identify strategies to accelerate the delivery of multimodal projects. The strategies cover numerous phases of the project development process, from initial scoping and project prioritization to design and environmental review. Panelists will share examples from agencies that have successfully incorporated these strategies into project development and resources that can help practitioners evaluate their current practices. Participants will learn how they can incorporate these strategies into their own practices in order to accelerate the delivery of multimodal projects.  Webinar   
Nov 1, 2018  FTA  Public Transportation Agency Safety Plan Final Rule - Bus Guidance and Template II  - Following publication of two important new safety rules, FTA is hosting a new webinar series, running October-December 2018, to provide technical assistance to transit agencies on the Public Transportation Agency Safety Plan (PTASP) Final Rule. The PTASP Final Rule requires certain rail and bus operators to develop safety plans to better manage their safety risk using Safety Management Systems. This is the second session of "Public Transportation Agency Safety Plan Final Rule - Bus Guidance and Template." Registration is required for all sessions.  Webinar

Nov 19, 2018  TRB  TRB Webinar: Moisture Infiltration and Pavement Surface Treatments  - This webinar will discuss available methods for measuring moisture infiltration into pavements. Presenters will describe a universal method for measuring water infiltration into multiple types of in-place asphalt pavement surfaces. They will also discuss novel materials, design, and/or construction practices that may minimize moisture infiltration into pavements.
