Summary
This report highlights key recommendations and noteworthy practices identified during a TPCB peer exchange sponsored by FHWA and hosted by Arlington County, Virginia and the Metropolitan Washington Council of Governments, in Washington DC on April 10-11, 2019. The peer exchange focused on traditional and emerging methods of bicycle planning analysis and implementation, with an emphasis on bicycle level of traffic stress (LTS) analysis and the use of data in both planning and communications. Peer agencies participating in the exchange included Atlanta Regional Council, Oregon Department of Transportation, Montgomery County, MD, Fairfax County, VA, and Washington D.C. Department of Transportation.
